2019 GSC Academic Honor Roll

2019 (GRADUATE TRANSFER): Played in 10 games including nine starts at safety…helped the Statesmen to a 6-4 record…tallied 49 tackles, 35 solos, with one tackle for loss, and one fumble forced…defended six passes, including two interceptions and four deflections…had one interception at North Greenville (9.28)…recorded 10 tackles, seven solo tackles, and one interception against top-ranked Valdosta State (10.12)…posted seven stops, five solos, and one tackle for loss in the season finale at Mississippi College (11.16)…forced a fumble at Florida Tech (9.21)… the Statesmen defense led the GSC total defense (309.2 ypg.), rush defense (122.0 ypg.) and sacks per game (2.70).

2018: Sat out the season due to injury.
 
2017 (EAST CAROLINA) : Despite suffering through an injury-plagued initial active season at ECU, still made his presence felt with 29 tackles (20 solo)...limited to six games (James Madison, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Temple, UCF and Houston)...started a total of four contests, opening the campaign as the starting nickleback against the Dukes and Mountaineers before moving to the free safety slot vs. the Hokies and Knights…racked up a combined 17 stops in the first two games of the year, including a personal-best nine vs. WVU (seven solo)…added three hits against the Hokies before playing in only three of the last nine contests...combined to make just nine tackles in American Conference action (five vs. Temple, four vs. UCF, 0 vs. Houston)…in all, averaged nearly five stops (4.8) per outing in games played in, but was not credited with a single tackle after Oct. 14…splits include 22 hits on rushing plays, seven on pass receptions.

2016: Sat out fall season in observance of NCAA transfer rules...contributed valuable role as a member of the defensive scout squad, helping prepare Pirate receiving corps on a weekly basis.

2015 (AUBURN): Opened year as starter in Auburn's nickel package as a true freshman...played in 10 games and was credited with 18 tackles (eight solo), two quarterback hurries and a pair of pass breakups...collected four tackles in collegiate debut vs. Louisville, which also marked lone start of season...tacked on four more stops and a pass breakup a week later against Jacksonville State...added two tackles in SEC matchups against LSU and Mississippi State (both solo)...matched season-best with a quartet of hits vs. Idaho...helped Tigers to a 7-6 overall record (2-6 in SEC West Division) and a 31-10 win over Memphis in the Birmingham Bowl on Dec. 29...enrolled at Auburn early (January).

High School: A top-ranked safety prospect...also played running back and receiver at Westminster Christian...prep coach was uncle Sedrick Irvin, who also served on the ECU staff as an offensive staff assistant during the 2016 campaign...racked up 2,100 career rushing yards, 1,145 receiving yards, 231 tackles and scored 43 TD...was a Class 3A All-State selection who also was invited to play in the U.S. Army All-American Game and Miami-Dade North-South Game...regarded as a Top 50 player from the state of Florida by Scout.com and Rivals.com...member of PrepStar's Top 150...also lettered in basketball and was a state finalist in track.

PERSONAL: Full name is Timothy Eugene Irvin...son of Timothy Irvin Sr. and Sheimeka Irvin...has two siblings, Shemar and Timeka...uncle Michael is an NFL Hall of Famer...major is university studies...earned ECU Honor Roll accolades for classroom work during the 2018 spring semester.
