Farkhod Kurbonov

Farkhod Kurbonov enters his second season as a graduate assistant coach for head coach Andy Robertson and the Delta State Statesmen soccer team.
 
Previously, he coached at Coerver Soccer Development Program and Fort Wayne United Cadets, both in Indiana. He was the assistant coach and goalkeeper coach for the men’s team at Pasadena City College in Pasadena, California. Soon after, he took a job to be a head coach for La Salle High School girl’s junior varsity and also helped the goalkeepers on the men’s soccer varsity team, while still working with goalkeepers at Pasadena City College.
 
Kurbonov holds the United States Soccer Federation (National “D”) license, as well as National Soccer Coaches Association of America Goalkeeping Level 1 and Level 2 diplomas.
 
Kurbonov brings a wealth of playing experience to Delta State, playing four years at NAIA Holy Cross College in Notre Dame, Indiana. While there, they broke many school records, first time play-off spot and made it to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Athletics finals his senior year. Prior to Holy Cross, he played for FC Locomotive Dushanbe in the National Premier League 2nd Division in Tajikistan his whole teenage life.
 
The Dushanbe, Tajikistan, native graduated from Holy Cross College in 2014 with two degrees, communications and business. He is currently pursuing a master of science in sport and human performance with a concentration in sports management.
