Nathan Luey enters his first year with the Statesmen and Lady Statesmen swimming and diving programs under the direction of head coach Dan'l Murray.
Luey joins the #DSUFamily after serving as an intern swim coach with Clarion University in Clarion, Pa. While at Clarion, Luey designed workouts for athletes in the pool and the weight room, assisted in the recruiting process, and helped plan and execute a conference swim meet.
The Macungie, Pa. native, swam for Clarion for a pair of seasons, competing mainly in the 1000 freestyle and the 1650 freestyle
He has also served as a swim camp counselor in Mercersburg, Pa. at Mercersburg Academy, as well as a lifeguard manager and water technician at Emmaus Aquatic Club in Emmaus, Pa.
While at the Emmaus Aquatic Club, Luey supervised more than 50 lifeguards and planned and organized the opening of nine contracted pools.
Luey graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and fitness and is currently working toward a Master of Science in Sport Administration and Management.
