2011-2012: Competed first season in diving events...Scored a season high 177.35 in 1-meter (6 dives) diving against Henderson State in the spring dual meet...Scored a season high 164.75 in 3-meter (6 dives) diving at the UALR Christmas Invitational...Scored a 286.75 in the 1-meter (11 dives) at the NSISC Championships...Scored a 256.20 in the 3-meter (11 dives) at the NSISC Championships.
2009-2010: Swam for the Statesmen, primarily in butterfly events.
PREP: Swam four years for Izmir Dzel Faith High School for head coach Turker Oktay. Holds school record in the 400-Individual Medley and 200-Butterfly.
PERSONAL: Born Emir Sonmez in Konak Izmir, Turkey to Ayse and Ilker Sonmez....Majoring in Exercise Science.
