Delta State University

Preslie Long enters her second season as a graduate assitant with the Delta State University softball team. Long, a Slidell, La. native, comes to Delta State with a great deal of softball experience to contribute to the program.

Long graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in Monticello, Ark. She also spent two years at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Ark.

Long played softball from 2009-2011 at the University of Central Arkansas and finished her career at the University of Arkansas-Monticello from 2011-2013. While at Arkansas-Monticello, Long ran cross country for one season in 2012. Long was a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, SAAC, from 2012 to 2013. She was named the Vice President of Phi Beta Lambda from 2012 to 2013. 

Long brings coaching experience to the Delta State softball staff. She worked at several softball camps as an instructor and a coach's assistant during her summers as a college student.
