Kyndal Schaaf begins her first season with the Lady Statesman soccer program under the direction of head coach Paul Babba. She will be earning her masters degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.
Schaaf comes to Delta State after seeing five seasons (2007-2011) of soccer at perennial powerhouse Armstrong Atlantic State University. She graduated in 2012 with a bachelors in health and physical education.
While at Armstrong Atlantic, Schaaf helped the Pirates to Peach Belt Conference Championships in 2009 and 2011, two regular season championships in 2010 and 2011, and one Final Four appearance in NCAA as a center midfielder/defender.
The Columbus, Ga., native also played for the AASU softball team from 2007-2009. After graduation, Schaaf returned home and taught at Spencer High School where she coached softball and soccer.
The daughter of John Lyles and Leslie Schaaf, Kyndal is the oldest of five with four younger brothers, Blayne, Wister, Paden, and John.

RS-Senior (2011): Played in 22 matches with five starts...Had one assist for one point on the season...Took six shots and one one shot on goal.
Senior (2010):Â Did not play due to injury...Received a medical redshirt for the year...Member of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll.
Junior (2009):Â Played in 17 matches, making eight starts, as a junior for the Pirates...Registered one assist...Took five shots, three on goal...Notched an assist in Armstrong's 3-0 win over UNC Pembroke in the first round of the PBC Tournament on 11/3...Member of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll.
Sophomore (2008):Â Played 19 matches, starting four, for the Pirates as a sophomore...Took 11 shots, including four on goal, in 511 minutes of action...Also saw action for the Armstrong softball squad.
Freshman (2007): Played in 19 matches as a freshman for the Pirates...Scored two goals and collected one assist on nine shots...Scored her first career collegiate goal on 9/15 in Armstrong's 5-0 win over Clayton State...Also competed as a member of Armstrong's softball squad.
