Andrew Nilo enters his second season as a graduate assistant Strength and Conditioning coach under the direction of head strength coach Kevin Rodriguez.

Nilo, who is CSCS certified, joins the #DSUFamily after serving as in intern with the Texas Christian University athletic department. While at TCU, Nilo worked with baseball, football, track & field, swimming, and soccer. Nilo led developmental baseball groups in workouts and worked specifically with soccer players on speed development. 

The Fort Worth, Texas native also spent time as an intern with APEC Human Performance and was a human performance extern at Michael Johnson Performance teaching the biomechanics of running phases and leading performance classes. 

Nilo played baseball at Hardin-Simmons University after transferring from Lyon College. Nilo comes from a line of athletes. His father, Freddy, played baseball at Austin College, and his brother, Matthew, played baseball at Eastern New Mexico. 

Nilo graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science, and is expected to graduate with his Master's of Science in Kinesiology from Hardin-Simmons in December 2021.
