Biography
2019-20 (SENIOR): Part of the 200 medley relay team that came in ninth at the NSISC Championships...came in 17th in the 1000 freestyle and 13th in the 100 backstroke...was also a member of the 800 freestyle relay team that finished 10th...placed 18th in the 1650 freestyle and came in 15th in the 200 backstroke...came in third against Henderson State in the 100 backstroke on senior day.
2018-19 (JUNIOR): Came in 16th in the 1000 freestyle and the 100 backstroke at the NSISC Championships...placed 15th in the 1650 freestyle.
2017-18 (SOPHOMORE): Finished 15th in the 50 freestyle at the NSISC Championships...also finished 13th in the 200 backstroke and was part of 200 medley relay team that came in 11th...placed 18th in the 200 freestyle and also grabbed a 14th place finish in the 100 backstroke.
2016-17 (FRESHMAN): Finished 18th in the 50 freestyle and 17th in the 200 backstroke at the NSISC Championships...also came in 22nd in the 200 freestyle...placed 17th in the 100 backstroke.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at St. Joseph Catholic School under head coach Lauri Collins...led the Bruins to the MHSAA state championship...named Best of MS Preps by The Clarion Ledger after she won the 50 freestyle (26.25) and placed second in the 100 backstroke (1:03.19) at the Class I Championships...helped her team win the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays and the Class I championships.
PERSONAL: Sophia Rose Waddingham...daughter of Sharon and Chuck Waddingham...has one brother, Charlie...major is undeclared
