Braden Treaster enters his third year with the Delta State University Athletic Communications department in 2026-27 as Coordinator of Athletic Communications & Sports Information.
In his role, Treaster oversees the day-to-day communications efforts for the Statesmen and Lady Statesmen, serving as the primary contact for all 14 varsity programs while directing the department’s public relations strategy. He leads a team of graduate assistants and student workers, producing a wide range of content including game recaps, feature stories, social media, graphics, game notes, and record books, while also managing updates to the official athletics website.
Treaster plays an integral role in game day operations and event management across Delta State’s athletic facilities, including oversight of live streaming productions on the FloCollege Network and coordination of statistics and scoreboard operations. He also contributes on a national level as a South Region representative for the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) in men’s basketball and serves as a Super Region II voter for the Associated Press and Don Hansen Football All-America teams.
Prior to arriving at Delta State, Treaster served as Director of Athletic Communications at Newberry College during the 2023-24 academic year, where he oversaw communications for a 24-sport department of more than 800 student-athletes and served as a member of the athletics administrative team.
Treaster also gained experience as an athletic communications assistant at Pittsburg State University, working primarily with volleyball and softball while contributing to live statistics, social media, and game coverage. His background includes time as a graduate assistant at Shippensburg University, where he served as the primary contact for baseball and assisted with multiple sports, as well as professional experience with the State College Spikes in video production.
A native of Highland Park, Pennsylvania, Treaster earned his Master of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership from Shippensburg University in 2021, after completing his Bachelor of Arts in Communication/Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations in 2018. He is an active member of College Sports Communicators and has participated in national professional development opportunities.
