Marisa Sanders of the Lady Statesmen softball team has been selected as this week’s GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week after batting .368 over six games last week.
 
Sanders had seven hits, scored two runs and drove in two more. She also had 34 putouts from her first base position.
 
This season, Sanders is hitting .356 with 21 hits, a team-high three home runs and 12 RBI. She also has a .559 slugging percentage.
