Florian Mondoloni, a senior on the Delta State University men's tennis team, has been named the GoStatesmen,com Male Student-Athlete of the Week after helping the No. 34 Statesmen defeat No. 43 Alabama-Huntsville 6-3 in Gulf South Conference action on Friday, March 21.
Mondoloni defeated Fredrick Graaner 6-3, 6-2 to take No. 2 singles, while teaming with Guillaume Lacour to take No. 2 doubles over UAH's Bruno Medeiros and Pablo Herrero, 8-1. Â
The senior from Marseille, France will lead the Statesmen back into action this Saturday and Sunday in Pensacola, Fla., versus No. 14 Valdosta State University and No. 3 West Florida. Â
