Casey Osborne, a 6-foot-3 junior wide receiver for the Statesmen football team, has been named the GoStatesmen.com Male Student-Athlete of the Week for his performance in DSU's 56-13 victory over Fort Valley State in the season-opener on Saturday, Sept. 6 in Fort Valley, Ga.

The Flowery Branch, Georgia native grabbed a game-high 12 receptions for 113 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Statesmen offense. Osborne helped DSU roll up 484 yards of total offense and 56 unanswered points in the victory.
