Sarah Mumme, a freshman on the Lady Statesmen Cross Country team, has been named the CableOne GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week after leading Delta State to a 14th place finish at the Rhodes College Invitational this past Saturday in Memphis, Tennessee.

Mumme was DSU's top finisher and did so in record fashion. The freshman from Holcomb, Mississippi finished the race in 24:09.54 to claim the 35^th place. Her time was the 15^th fastest for a 6K race in school history.

Mumme and the Lady Statesmen will host the DSU XC Invitational this Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Derrall Foreman Golf Course. Race time is set for 8:30 a.m.
