The Greenville, Miss., native tossed 6.2 innings, allowing one run on seven hits with a pair of walks and a strikeout en route to his second consecutive victory. Hobbs' faced 27 batters in the outing, while throwing 87 pitches.
Hobbs (2-0) has made two starts for the Statesmen this season, throwing 12.1 innings while allowing two runs, one earned, on 12 hits. The Mississippi Delta CC transfer has walked two and struck out seven in his two appearances. Â
