Alex Howe, a senior on the Delta State Women's Tennis team, captures her first CableONE GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor on Monday, April 18.

Howe and Nathalia Sato teamed up to defeat Valdosta State's Bea Morales and Anke Poncelet, 9-7, at No. 1 doubles in last week's Gulf South Conference Tournament Quarterfinal. The Lady Statesmen lost the match 5-1 and ended their season 7-11. 

The Ohope Beach, New Zealand native went 8-6 in singles play, while posting a 5-9 doubles record.
