Mattia Schirru, of the Delta State Men's Swimming & Diving team, has captured his third career CableONE  Male Student-Athlete of the Week award.

Schirru helped lead the Statesmen in their final meet of the regular season, as he claimed first place and runner up finishes. He also helped DSU earn second place finishes in a pair of relay events.

The Giaveno, Italy native won the 100-Freestyle in 45.58, and finished second with a 20.67 in the 50.
