Mason Vice, a freshman on the Delta State men's tennis team, has been named CableOne Gostatesmen.com Male Athlete of the Week.
 
Mason Vice and Joao Yamacita secured a point for the Statesmen after tying it up with No. 7 Valdosta State upsetting No. 24 Leo Blay and Xavier Pineda 9-7 on the third court. Vice also claimed a victory in singles defeating No. 42 Fernando Rivas 7-6, 6-3 in the fourth spot.

The next day, against the top-ranked University of West Florida, Vice and Yamacita secured a point for the Statesmen tying it up, 1-1, in the doubles competition beating Alfonso Castellano and Pablo Tellez 8-6 on the third court.

The Statesmen wrap up the regular season against in-state Division I foe Jackson State University on Monday, April 10 at 5 p.m.
