Lady Statesmen cross country runner, Tori McDonald, has been named this week’s CableOne GoStatesmen.com Female Athlete of the Week.
 
Delta State’s fourth scorer, McDonald helped the squad to a fourth-place finish out of 12 teams at the Watson Ford Invitational in Clinton, Mississippi.  The senior from Canton, Mississippi, crossed the line in 24th; her time of 25:22 was a 6K personal best by more than 40 seconds.
 
McDonald has been a consistent top-five performer for the squad, which has been ranked as high as No. 9 in the Division II South Regional team standings.  While the Lady Statesmen concluded their regular season Saturday, they look forward to competing at the Gulf South Conference Championships in Decatur, Alabama, October 21.
