Taylor Johnson, a senior on the Lady Statesmen softball team, was named CableOne/GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week after helping lead DSU to a pair of wins last week.

Johnson led the Lady Statesmen pitching staff, earning a pair of complete game victories, while allowing just one earned run (0.50 ERA) in 14.0 innings. She also collected eight strikeouts and just one walk. Her 3-0 shutout victory over Arkansas Monticello marked her third complete game shutout of the season.
