Delta State University Statesmen tennis player Come Bracaval was named a Guaranty Bank Featured Athlete of the Week after he won all three of his singles matches over the weekend as DSU swept the Ouachita Baptist Invitational. 

Bracaval, a Toulouse, France native, secured a 7-5, 6-4 win on Sunday to help the Statesmen clinch the 4-3 victory over Southern Arkansas to finish the weekend 3-0.

Bracaval also blanked his OBU competitor 6-0, 6-0 to open the weekend tournament, and grabbed a 6-3, 6-0 win against Southwest Baptist as part of his 3-0 weekend in singles play. He and doubles partner Leo De Sousa also secured a win (6-2) against Southwest Baptist and won by default against OBU.

The Statesmen are scheduled to host their home opener against the Choctaws of Mississippi College on Tuesday, March 2nd at 1 p.m. at the Cleveland Country Club.
