Delta State University tennis player Come Bracaval was named a Guaranty Bank Featured Athlete of the Week he delivered a pair of wins for the Statesmen at the No. 5 singles spot over the weekend.
Bracaval secured a point for the Statesmen at No. 5 against Valdosta State 6-7, 6-4, and 13-11 in a super tie-breaker. Bracaval, with Leo De Sousa, also helped secure a point for the Statesmen in the No. 3 doubles match 6-1.
Bracaval followed with a 6-4 win for the Statesmen at No. 3 doubles with De Sousa against the ninth-ranked Flagler College Saints, and grabbed a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles against Flagler to finish an unblemished 4-0 on the weekend.
Delta State returns to the court on Saturday, March 13 as they host Mississippi College at the Cleveland Country Club.
