JACKSON, TENN.-The Lambuth Universtiy Eagles scored three first half goals in a 5-0 win over the Delta State University Statesmen soccer team, Thursday in Jackson, Tenn.
Lambuth (4-3-2) looked for revenge after a last second 2-1 loss in Cleveland earlier in the season.
The Statesmen (3-8) allowed three first half goals, while giving up two more in the second.
Daniel Ericsson opened the scoring in the 11th minute for the Eagles with what proved to be the game-winner.
The Statesmen were outshot 15-9, and recorded three shots on goal, compared to seven for LU.
DSU will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 10 as they travel to Arkadelphia for a non-conference matchup with Ouachita Baptist. The Statesmen fell to OBU 2-0 on Sept. 24.
The action will begin at 3 p.m.
