CLEVELAND, Mississippi- The Delta State men's soccer team has clinched a spot in the Gulf South Conference Tournament for the second time in program history with an overtime victory over the University of West Florida Argos, 2-1. The last time the Statesmen made the tournament was in the 2012 season. 
The Statesmen fell behind late in the 42
nd minute when Soren Yuhaschek netted a goal from the top of the penalty box to put the Argos up 1-0. DSU went into the half down by one goal. 
In the 75
th minute 
Sebastian Knabke headed a ball from teammate 
Luke Mason into the back of the net. Knabke's header went just under the crossbar and out of the reach of a diving Andre Moreira. The score would remain tied 1-1 as regulation expired. 
Delta State came out streaking early in the first overtime period. In the 95
th minute of play 
Austin Jackman netted the golden-goal that gave DSU the come-from-behind win and a berth into postseason play. 
Jaxon Lambert played the ball into Jackman who was waiting at the six-yard-box where he headed the ball into the back of the net. 
Both teams had a total of ten shots but DSU held the advantage in shots on goal, 8-5. The Argos led in corner kick 5-3. 
Jonathan Hilton made four saves for the Statesmen and his counterpart, Moreira, had six. 
Delta State will face GSC newcomer Spring Hill College this Sunday, Oct. 26
