JACKSON, Tenn. – Honeye Heydari scored three goals and assisted on another to lead Union University (3-8-1, 3-2-1 GSC) to a 4-0 win over the Delta State University women's soccer team (3-8-1, 0-7-0 GSC) on Sunday at the Smith Memorial Soccer Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Hannah Hilburn (1) gave the Bulldogs an early 1-0 lead in the fifth minute off a pass from Honeye Heydari.
• Heydari scored goals in the 52^nd, 84^th and 86^th minutes of the second half to help the Bulldogs pull away. Hilburn was credited with assists on Heydari's first and third goals. 
• The Lady Statesmen attempted 14 shots and placed five shots on frame.
• Rebecca Deegan led the Lady Statesmen with three shots, one on goal, followed by Bailey Saebi, Tabitha Hayden and Tais Cotta each with two shots, one on goal, and Taylor Guess had one shot on goal.
• Union held a 4-3 advantage on corner kick opportunities.
