CLEVELAND, Miss. – Shorter University scored two first half goals and did not look back as it shut out the Delta State University men's soccer team 3-0 on Sunday at Delta Field. Following the match, DSU honored 11 seniors, including six that were on DSU's first GSC Tournament team in 2012.

@StatesmenSC HOW IT HAPPENED:- Shorter opened the scoring in the 13th minute when Darwin Lom collected a bouncing ball in the box and finished from close range.
- The Hawks made the score 2-0 in the 44th minute when Charlie Dennis dribbled past a pair of DSU defenders and found the back of the net.
- DSU was outshot 8-2 in the first 45 minutes.
- Shorter finished the scoring in the 64th minute on a goal by Mauricio Rancel.
- Each team had 10 shots in the second half.
- DSU goalkeeper Jacob Hauenstein finished with seven saves, while Austen Trevers made five stops for the Hawks.
- Anthony Fernandez led the Statesmen with three shots, while Amine Rahmani, Jaxon Lambert and Brock Hollier finished with two apiece.
