"No one works harder or cares more about our programs than Scott Wyant," Matt Jones, Senior Associate AD/External Relations, said. "He certainly deserves this recognition. Since coming to Delta State last fall, Scott has worked tirelessly to feature our student-athlete's stories and promote our programs through multimedia. We're certainly lucky to have him representing the Statesmen and Lady Statesmen."

Wyant's work was the only videos from a member of the Gulf South Conference honored by SVG/NACDA. A native of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Wyant is a 2013 honors graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in mass communications.

Before his arrival in the Delta Wyant spent time as an assistant at VCU, where he served as the primary contact for Rams baseball. He also served as the official scorer for the program and handled broadcasting duties.

Prior to returning to his alma mater, Wyant worked for Tennessee State University's Media Relations Department, serving as the primary contact for volleyball, track and field, and cross country. He also handled the play-by-play duties for the Lady Tigers' women's basketball program and served as the media relations contact for TSU men's basketball on the road. Using his knowledge of social media, Wyant collaborated with members of the media relations staff to create TSU Athletics' official Twitter hashtag #BigBlueRising.
