CLEVELAND, Miss. – Natalie Mooney and Katy Morris scored second half goals to lead the University of West Alabama (4-2-0, 2-0-0 GSC) to a 2-0 Gulf South Conference win over the Delta State University women's soccer team (1-5-1, 0-4-0 GSC) on Friday at Delta Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED- The first half ended scoreless with both teams registering three shots on goal. Taylor Guess, Shelby Nell and Catherine Thomson registered shots on goal in the opening half for DSU.
- Natalie Mooney finished a deflection off the cross bar three minutes into the second half to give UWA a 1-0 lead.
- Katy Morris extended the UWA lead to 2-0 with 28:15 remaining off a feed from Kirsten Reilly.
- Shelby Nell, Camila Sevilla and Sam Naughton's shots on goal represented the Lady Statesmen's second half scoring chances.
STAT OF THE GAME- West Alabama tallied nine shots in the second half, four on goal, while the Lady Statesmen put three of four shots on goal.
