CLEVELAND, Miss. – The University of Alabama in Huntsville scored a pair of first half goals and held on for a 2-0 victory over the Delta State University men's soccer team on Sunday at Delta Field.

@StatesmenSC HOW IT HAPPENED:- Hermann Bjornsson opened the scoring in the 14th minute, when he headed in a perfectly placed cross from Leo De Smedt.
- Just 4:21 later, Jordan Wright scored his eighth goal of the year as he placed a shot in the corner of the goal.
- UAH outshot the Statesmen 6-1 in the first half.
- DSU had its best chances of the match in the last 20 minutes, when substitute Bryce Childers had a pair of shots stopped by UAH keeper Michael Winstone.
- Each team took four shots in the second half.

TAT OF THE GAME:- The Chargers outshout DSU 6-1 in the opening 45 minutes.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:- DSU has been shutout in back-to-back contests for the first time since road matches at Lee (1-0) and Shorter (4-0) in October of 2014.
