• Taylor Guess scored her first career goal off a corner kick from Rebecca Deegan in the 43^rd minute to give the Lady Statesmen a 1-0 halftime lead.
• Delta State outshot Montevallo 15-12, 8-4 in the first half but were outshot 8-7 in the second half.
• Taylor Taffo made seven second-half saves that included four Falcon shots inside the eight-yard mark.
