    How It Happened

  • DSU took a 40-25 advantage into the locker room at halftime.
  • Delta State's dominance continued into second-half play, due in large part to Terry Morris' 11 points through the first 12 minutes of play. The junior guard went 4-for-5 from the field, including 3-for-4 from downtown. DSU built a 65-44 lead with 7:44 left on the game clock.
  • The Choctaws never managed to come within more than 13 points, at the beginning of the second half.
  • Delta State earned the 80-53 victory to remain undefeated at home and return back to the top of the conference standings.

    Notables

  • Head Coach Jim Boone needs five wins to top 500 career victories.
