CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State University men's soccer team fell to Union University 2-1 on Senior Day on Sunday afternoon at Delta Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Daniel Bile opened scoring for the Bulldogs late in the first half with his own rebound off the crossbar then kicked it in the back of the net.
- Delta State opened scoring in the 50th minute when Brock Hollier received a loose ball outside the box then dribbled in a struck it right footed to the right side of the net.
- Cole Asfour scored Union's third and final goal of the match in the 65th minute from a Paul Langford pass along the top of the box and Asfour hit it left footed to the right side of the goal.
- Jacob Hauenstein made his third start in goal for Delta State and saved three shots, allowing two goals.
- In goal for the Bulldogs, Igor Luczensky made his eighth start and made two saves while only allowing one goal.
STAT OF THE GAME:
- Union outshot Delta State 10-3 in the first half, but 9-7 in the second half.
BEYOND THE NUMBERS:
- This marks the 10th meeting between DSU and Union since the series started in 2004.
- The loss breaks a two game winning streak.
- Hollier recorded his second goal of the season.
