How It Happened- Becca Rucks scored the first four points of the game to stake the Lady Statesmen to a 4-0 lead.
- UAH used a 10-2 run build a 10-6 lead following a Chandler Elder 3-point play with 2:54 left in the first quarter.
- Chelsey Rhodes tied the game, 11-11, with 1:39 left but UAH regained a 14-11 lead on an Elder 3-pointer at the 1:05 mark.
- Kaelin Kneeland's layup cut the deficit to 14-13 heading to the second quarter.
- Trailing 21-18, Rhodes made two free throws with 4:07 left and then a jumper to give DSU a 22-21 lead with 3:30 to play in the second quarter.
- Dina Saunders' layup capped a 7-0 run with 23 seconds left to give UAH a 28-22 lead at halftime.
- UAH built a 39-29 lead in the third quarter before the Lady Statesmen went on a 12-2 run, cutting the lead to 41-40 on an Anissa Jackson free throw with 51 seconds left.
- Lauren Foster made a 3-pointer with 36 seconds left to give UAH A 44-40 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Notables - Rhodes's 21 points moved the senior into a tie for eighth with Carla Holder (1981-84/1,615 pts.) for eighth on the all-time scoring list.
