Will Robertson had three hits and three RBIs apiece to help the Delta State University baseball team claim a 15-3 win over Arkansas Tech at Tech Field on Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED- The Statesmen scored four runs in the first and three in the third to build a 7-0 lead. Pickard had a two-run double and Colton Welch drove in a run with a single in the first. Erick Santiago's RBI single highlighted the three-run third.
- Robertson doubled home a run and Jacob Swiney delivered a two-run single in the sixth to give the Statesmen a 10-0 lead.
- Arkansas Tech got a run across in the bottom of the sixth, only to see DSU add three runs in the top of the seventh. Robertson had an RBI single and Ethan Gill doubled in two more to push the lead to 13-1
- The Statesmen added their final two runs on a Juwan Burney RBI triple and a two-run single by Pickard in the top of the ninth.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE- Delta State's 15 runs and 16 hits were season highs. DSU scored 11 runs in the season opener against Harding (2.6.16) and had 15 hits in game one against Palm Beach Atlantic (2.12.16).
- Redshirt freshman Juwan Burney recorded his first collegiate hit and RBI on his triple in the ninth.
- Dakota Glore's eighth inning single up the middle marked his first hit as a Statesman.
- Luke Stanley (2B), Andrew Bryan (C), Josh Paden (RF), and Westin Stringer saw action for the first time this season. Bryan worked the ninth inning behind the plate for his first action since transferring in from Louisiana Lafayette.
- DSU improved to 4-1 against the Great American Conference in 2016.
- The Statesmen are 2-1 when scoring 10-plus this season.
- Robertson's 3-for-4 performance raised his average to a team leading .455. He also leads the team with 14 RBI's.
- Delta State drew season-high seven walks and recorded a season high three hit-by-pitch.
