HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- After limiting UAH to just one hit over five innings in an 8-0 victory in game two of the series, DSU starting pitcher Taylor Johnson allowed a leadoff double by Brianna Sullivan and a two-run home run to left by Kaitlyn Bannister to open the scoring in the first inning.
- The Chargers added to their lead in the fourth when they capitalized on five hits and a DSU error.
- Harrison retired 10 straight DSU batters before allowing her first hit of the contest, an infield single by Kassidy Tally. She was left stranded when Kaitlin Moore popped out to the shortstop and Morgan Kazerooni flew out to right field.
- UAH added single runs in the fifth and seventh innings.
- The Lady Statesmen recorded their second and final hit of the game when Katelyn Westbrook dropped a pinch-hit single into right field in the bottom of the seventh.
