Justin Vincent allowed one run on six hits to lead No. 15 Delta State University (37-15) to an 11-1 win over the University of West Georgia (38-14) in the GSC Tournament on Monday at Jim Spooner Field. The Statesmen, who advanced to the GSC Tournament Championship for the fourth straight year, will play for their 13
th GSC title against the University of Alabama Huntsville at 12 p.m. on Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Statesmen put up three runs on two hits and took advantage of three UWG errors in the first. Jacob Swiney's two run seeing-eye single helped DSU to a 3-0 lead.
- A Brandon Cummins RBI single scored Juwan Burney to push the lead to 4-0 in the second.
- West Georgia loaded the bases in the third but managed just one run on a bases loaded walk to cut the deficit to 4-1.
- Delta State answered with a run in the top of the fourth and two in the sixth to push the lead to 7-1. Colton Welch singled and scored from third when the Statesmen grounded into a double play in the fourth. Swiney singled and scored on a wild pitch and Trent Giambrone had an RBI single in the sixth.
- The Green-and-White added three runs in the eighth to build a 10-1 lead. Will Robertson and Ben Pickard had RBI singles, while Swiney drew a bases loaded walk.
- Matt Barrett drew a bases loaded walk in the ninth for the Statesmen's final run.
- Giambrone went 4-for-6 with an RBI for his second four-hit game in the tournament.
- Swiney had three RBIs while Cummins, Giambrone, Robertson, Pickard, and Barrett also had RBIs to lead the Statesmen.
- Justin Vincent (5-4) gave up one run on six hits with three strikeouts in the complete game victory. Vincent allowed one hit over the final 5.1 innings, retiring 16 of the last 17 batters to close the game.
- Turner Edwards (4-1) suffered the loss for the Wolves, allowing seven runs, three earned, on eight hits with a strikeout in five innings pitched.

- The Statesmen advance to GSC Championship day for the fourth straight year. DSU claimed its last GSC title in 2012.
- DSU pounded out 15 hits in the game, recording double digit hits for the 34th time in 52 games this season.
- Swiney notched his 12th multi-RBI game and second three RBI game this season.
- Vincent recorded his third complete game, and the Statesmen pitching staff had their 17th complete game this season.
