CLEVELAND, Miss. - The Christian Brothers University men's soccer team used three second half goals to knock off the Delta State University men's soccer team 3-0 in Gulf South Conference action on Sunday evening at Delta Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Both sides had minimal chances in the first half, as the two teams went to the half scoreless.
- In the 53rd minute, Xavi Lao scored his third goal of the season to put Christian Brothers up 1-0.
- Just over six minutes later, in the 59th minute, Andrew Forrest tallied his first of the season for the Bucs, converting a header off of a corner kick from Brendan Bennett.
- The third goal of the contest came in the 84th minute, as Lao converted his second of the match and fourth goal of the season, driving home a cross from Brendan Bennett, who picked up his second assist of the match and second on the year.
- Viktor Hoestbo ran his record to 5-1 in goal on the season for the Bucs, while Delta State's Matthew Klinck took the loss in goal for the Statesmen to fall to 0-1.
BEYOND THE NUMBERS:
- Delta State has been held scoreless in the first half in their last eight games, and have been held scoreless in five contests this season.
