JACKSON, Miss. - The Delta State University women's soccer team scored three first half goals and added a fourth in the second to help defeat Millsaps College 4-0 on Wednesday night at Harper Davis Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Tasha Toms got the Lady Statesmen on the board in the fifth minute, after following her own header that Millsaps goalkeeper Alyssa Mccarron could not handle.
- Lakyn Cryder doubled the lead in the 17th minute, as she calmly converted a penalty kick that was given due to a handball.
- In the 41st minute Megan Price went down the right side, turned inside a defender, and placed a high powered shot into the top corner.
- DSU outshot the hosts 6-3 in the first half.
- Taylor Schofield gave the Lady Statesmen their final goal of the game in the 57th minute when she knocked home a cross from Jasmine McGill.
- The Lady Statesmen outshot the hosts 17-8.
- DSU goalkeeper Ana Branch finished with five saves, while Mccarron had six.
