CLEVELAND, Miss. - The Delta State University men's soccer team used three first-half goals and added another in the second half as they cruised to a 4-1 victory over the Auburn University Montgomery men's soccer team in Gulf South Conference action on Friday afternoon at Delta Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sophomore Myron Duffy put the Statesmen on the board first, as his 25th minute goal off of a high flick from Paul Simler in the box gave Delta State the early advantage.
- Senior Ash Walker got in on the scoring action just over four minutes later, as his header off of a Jake Carragher corner kick gave DSU a 2-0 lead in the 29th minute of play.
- Delta State added one more goal before the halftime intermission, as Tom Bar-Yosef scored his second of the year in the 39th minute. Bar-Yosef tapped home a perfect cross in the box from Peyton Marter as the Statesmen took the 3-0 lead.
- DSU outshot the Warhawks 15-2 in the first half.
- Auburn Montgomery got on the board in the 57th minute courtesy of a goal from Tiuri Schieving, as he scored his fourth of the season off of an assist from Austi Sun Chee Fore to make it 3-1.
- The Statesmen added the final tally of the contest courtesy of a Jake Carragher penalty kick, running the score to 4-1 in favor of DSU.
- Delta State finished the match outshooting the Warhawks 28-6, and had 12 corner kicks to AUM's three.
BEYOND THE NUMBERS:
- Delta State snapped a 12-game scoreless first half streak, busting out for three first half goals.
- Duffy, Walker and Bar-Yosef each scored their second goals of the season, all coming in that first half.
- The 28 shots from the Statesmen are a season high, and Tom Bar-Yosef's 11 shots are a season high for any Statesmen player.
- DSU's four goals as a team are also a season high.
