CARROLLTON, Ga. – West Georgia scored three first half goals and added a fourth in the second to record a 4-0 victory on a rain soaked University Soccer Field, on Sunday, Oct. 8

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- UWG scored three goals in the first 25 minutes of the contest. All three tallies came during a nine minute span, as Julia Atenza opened the scoring in the 15th minute, followed by Becky Brown in the 19th and Kelly Geary in the 24th.
- The Lady Statesmen came out firing early in the second half, recording four shots in the first five minutes, but could not find a breakthrough.
- UWG scored the final goal of the game on a header by Nikki Conte in the 74th minute.
- The Lady Statesmen were outshot 16-8.
- DSU goalkeeper Ella Hunkin recorded four saves, while West Georgia keeper Jackie Donaldson had three.
- Traci Monroe led DSU with two shots.
