CLEVELAND, Miss.– Two goals from
Bruno Osorio helped lead the Statesmen to a 3-2 victory over Ouachita Baptist on Monday afternoon for their second victory of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Ouachita earned a penalty kick in the 11th minute. Blain Hickman converted the score after the foul by Mikey Rhodes.
- In the 18th minute Diego Trujillo had a great free kick bounce off the post.
- Louis Ferguson continued his great play with a shot that forced a tough save.
- In the 34th minute Carlos Bestard drew a penalty for the Statesmen. Then Bruno Osorio converted the free kick to get the equalizer.
- In the 47th minute, Osorio scored his second goal of the game off a pass from Daniel Himahy.
- Louis Ferguson added his fourth goal of the season in the 56th minute on a cross from Owen Howard.
- Ouachita pulled within one on a breakaway goal from Ryan Wilson.
- Both teams earned two yellow cards in the contest with Myron Duffy and Osorio receiving bookings for the Green and White.
BEYOND THE NUMBERS:
- Louis Ferguson has now scored in four straight games.
- The last time a Statesmen did that was in 2012when Caue DaSilva scored in four straight in October of that season.
- The all-time record for most consecutive games with a goal is eight games.
- David Smith in the 2008 season scored 10 goals in eight games.
- Bruno Osorio now has a team high nine points on the season with four goals and one assist.
- This was the fourth straight win for the Statesmen over Ouachita Baptist.
