Box Score Montgomery, Ala.– The Delta State University men's soccer team dropped a heartbreaker, 2-1 in double overtime to Auburn Montgomery, on Friday at the UAM Soccer Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Despite 11 combined first half shots, neither team was able to score in the opening 45 minutes.
- AUM struck first in the 58th minute on a goal from Alexis Arriaga, which was his first of the season.
- 14 minutes later DSU got the equalizer from Kormakur Thorsson, off assists from Myron Duffy and Daniel Himahy. It was the first goal of the season for the Icelander.
- The Statesmen had four shots the last ten minutes but could not capitalize.
- With the match one minute into double overtime (101st minute), Raphael Meyerhoff scored his first goal of the season to give the Warhawks the win.
BEYOND THE NUMBERS:
- This was the first ever win for AUM over DSU.
- This was the fifth overtime game this season for the Statesmen.
- DSU is now 1-2-1 in overtime this season.
- Louis Ferguson saw his goal scoring streak end at four games.
