Casey LaFontaine scored in the first minute of overtime to help the Delta State University women's soccer team erase a 3-1 second half deficit, and earn a 4-3 victory over Auburn Montgomery, on Friday at the AUM Soccer Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After a scoreless 24 minutes to start the game, AUM scored two goals in 14 seconds and took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
- At the end of the first half, AUM held a 5-3 advantage in shots.
- The Lady Statesmen responded 4:32 into the second half, when Diana Okechukwu finished off a corner kick by Anoucke Baas.
- In the 62nd minute AUM increased its lead to 3-1, on a goal by Allison Singleterry.
- LaFontaine scored her first of two goals in the 70th minute, after she took a pass from Ida Nielsen and bent the ball into the top of the left corner.
- DSU tied the game in the 75th minute when Erin Longsden took a long pass from Anna Whitehead, and was able to turn around in the box and fire her shot past the goalkeeper.
- The teams combined for just one shot for the rest of regulation.
- Less than one minute into overtime the Lady Statesmen took advantage of a scramble for the ball after a throw in, as Tasha Toms rifled a pass towards Bass, who then picked out LaFontaine for a header at the back post.
- AUM finished the match with a 10-9 advantage in shots. The Lady Statesmen put all nine of their shots on goal, while the Warhawks had just four.

- The Lady Statesmen put all nine of their shots on target.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- With the win over AUM, the Lady Statesmen have their most wins since recording 10 in 2008. DSU also tied its best Gulf South Conference win total since 2008 (4).
- DSU has scored 29 goals this season. That total is the fifth-best in school history.
- Okechukwu has scored in four of the last five games. Her six goals are tied for fourth in school history.
- Bass recorded two assists, which gives her nine for her career. That total ranks third in the DSU career record book.
- DSU has now scored at least four goals five times this season, which is the most in program history.
