JACKSON, Tenn. – The Delta State University men's soccer team fought to their first draw of the season playing Union University to a 1-1 draw. 
Louis Ferguson's goal in the 8th minute was all the Statesmen could earn.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
	- DSU got on the board first eight minutes in off a strike by Louis Ferguson securing his first goal of the season.
- Union equalized two minutes later on a goal by Ryan von Man.
- Neither team was able to get many shots off in the second half.
- The Statesmen took a flurry of shots in the first over time but could not capitalize.
- In the 103rd minute Mikey Rhodes received a red card.
- Statesmen held on facing several shots in the last five minutes.
BEYOND THE NUMBERS:
	- Statesmen had 23 fouls compared to 15 for the Bulldogs.
- Statesmen lead the league with 26 yellow cards this season.
- Union had double the amount of corners the Statesmen had 6-3.
- This is the first time the Statesmen have gotten points in consecutive games in conference play since they had three straight wins over Union, West Florida, and Spring Hill in 2014.
