MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Delta State University men's soccer team dropped a road Gulf South Conference game to Christian Brothers 4-1 on Sunday afternoon. Three goals in ten minutes gave CBU a lead which they never relinquinshed.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Christian Brothers scored very early in the game. Michael Longo scored less than three minutes in.
- DSU got on the board in the 23rd minute. Louis Ferguson scored on a tight angle to equalize the game.
- CBU retook the lead two minutes later on a goal by Xavi Lao.
- The Bucs then scored their third goal in the 28th minute on a strike from James Raptis.
- CBU added their fourth goal of the half in the 30th minute from Felipe Rodrigues.
- Neither team was able to score in the second half.
BEYOND THE NUMBERS:
- Louis Ferguson has now scored in back to back games.
- The four goals were the most Delta State has given in one period of play this season.
- This was the highest scoring game of the season for Christian Brothers.
- Statesmen picked up three more yellow cards in the game. Matthew Edwards, Kormakur Thorsson, and Bruno Osorio both earned cautions.
- CBU also earned three yellow cards.
