  • The Lady Statesmen added to their lead in the 29th minute after Jasmine McGill raced down the right side  and slid a cross to Megan Price, who calmly beat the keeper from a tough angle.

  • CBU answered quickly to start the second half, as Bailey Tadlock scored just 19 seconds in.
  • The Lady Bucs tied the match at three in the 57th minute, when Melissa Tammi scored off an assist from Tadlock.
  • Anna Whitehead scored what proved to be the winner in the 65th minute, when she made a long run down the left side and saw it pay off when she received a pass from Casey LaFontaine, and was able to sneak the ball past the goalkeeper.
  • DSU held its ground the rest of the way, allowing just two shots over the next 25 minutes.
  • Amanda Hilliard finished with five saves for the Lady Statesmen, who were outshot 15-9.
