LIVINGSTON, ALA. – The Delta State University men's soccer dropped their fifth straight game Sunday afternoon to the West Alabama Tigers. UWA netted three goals in the first 22 minutes and earned their third win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- UWA struck early with a goal from All-GSC player Ali Brador.
- Eight minutes later the Tigers struck again this time with a goal by Paul Efang.
- After a foul by Cade Fremont in the 22nd minute, Harrison Roberts scored on a penalty kick for UWA.
BEYOND THE NUMBERS:
- Statesmen had twelve shots but only four were on target.
- DSU had more shots and corners than UWA but could not capatalize.
- Matthew Klink had his first start in goal this season and had three saves.
- This is the worst start for the Statesmen to start a season since 2011 when DSU dropped the first six games.
- West Alabama has won the last four Gulf South Conference titles.
