CLEVELAND, Miss. - The Delta State University women's soccer team scored three goals in a four minute span, during the second half, to help knock off Millsaps 5-1, on Tuesday at University Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- After hitting the crossbar in the seventh minute, Tasha Toms found redemption just four minutes later, as she dribbled down the right side and beat the Millaps keeper to the far post.
- DSU added to its lead in the 25th minute, when Anoucke Baas followed up a rebound from Megan Price.
- The Majors had multiple chances in the first half, but Ella Dennis was up to the challenge, as she made three first half saves.
- DSU outshot the visitors 13-6 in the first half.Â
- Price opened the second half scoring just two minutes in, when her cross from Anna Whitehead easily beat the keeper.
- Diana Okechukwu added to the lead just three minutes later, as her close range effort found the back of the net.Â
- The Lady Statesmen added to their tally just 27 seconds later, when Lucia Chacon Habis followed her own shot to finish the scoring for DSU.
- Millsaps scored its lone goal of the game in the 88th minute, on a strike from Riley Fobare.
- Heather Travis finished the second half for DSU, finishing with one save.
- DSU finished with a 22-9 advantage in shots, including an 11-5 edge in shots on goal.
