CLEVELAND, Miss. – Three first half goals by Lee University spoiled a historic night at Parker Field-McCool Stadium for Delta State University men's soccer, as the Flames claimed a 3-0 victory in their fourth consecutive Gulf South Conference shutout. For the Statesmen, Friday's match was the first ever night game in the program's 15-year history. Rains during the week, soaked Delta Field, forcing the teams to shift to Parker-McCool.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lee erupted out of the gate, taking a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute on Alfie Coldron's strike from just outside the 18. It was his third goal of the season.
- Palle Jespersen found the back of the net in the 10th minute to increase the Lee lead to 2-0. Jespersen buried his own rebound for his fourth goal of the season.
- Less than a minute later, Samaan Williams pushed a shot past the DSU keeper to give the Flames a 3-0 advantage in the 11th minute.
- In the 44th minute, Charles Barkman's free kick was narrowly saved by Lee's Daniel Hrenko for Delta State's best chance in the half.
- The Flames finished the first half with 10 shots, nine on goal, with four corners. The Statesmen recorded four shots, three on goal, with two corners.
- In the second half, Jespersen and Jared McWhorter placed shots on goal in the 51st and 53rd minute, but both were denied by DSU keeper Matthew Klink.
- The Flames finished with 16 shots, 12 on goal, with six corners. DSU finished with four shot, three on goal, with four corners.
- Klink faced 12 shots, making nine saves. Lee's Hrenko record three saves on three shots by the Statesmen.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- It was a historic night for the Statesmen, as Delta State played its first home game under the lights at Parker Field-McCool Stadium. The match was moved to the turf due to a water-logged Delta Field.
- A total of 19 Statesmen saw action in Friday's match.
