MONTGOEMRY, Ala- Rasheide Bell scored 25 points and 
Matthew Wilson had 22 points lead the lead the Delta State men's basketball team (14-6, 10-3 GSC) to an 80-73 win over the Auburn University at Montgomery (6-15, 2-11 GSC on Thursday, Jan 31 at AUM Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
	- Delta State kicked the game off with a strong offensive performance, leading the game until 7:40 left in the half
 
	- A layup by Aaron Reddick would give AUM a  22-21 with 7:40 left in the first half
 
	- After taking the lead AUM would go onto have a 13-8 run over the Statesmen to give them a halftime lead of 35-29
 
	- 16-point first half by Carlos Bell led The Warhawks to 35-29 lead going into halftime
 
	- Rasheide Bell's 11 first half-points kept the Statesmen within six going into halftime.
 
	- Delta State was able to reclaim the lead after a steal by Armon Benford turned into a lay up by Rasheide Bell putting the Statesmen up 42-41 with 13:44 left.
 
	- With 13:10 left in the game Carlos Bell's layup tied it up at 43-43.
 
	- A 3-pointer by Rasheide Bell put the Statesmen back up 46-43 with 12:45 left in the game
 
	- After the three by Bell, the Statesmen would go on a 16-13 run to lead 62-56 with 8:12 left in the game
 
	- A Darrion Taylor 3-pointer would bring the Warhawk's deficit within three at 62-59 with 7:54 left
 
	- Matthew Wilson's jumper put the Statesmen up 69-59 with 5:22 left
 
	- A 3-pointer by Wilson with 2:04 left extended the Statesmen lead to 75-66
 
	- E.J. Card's free throw got cut the DSU lead to 78-70 with 1:04 left.
 
	- Rasheide Bell drained a pair of free throws equal the Statesmen's final margin of victory.
 
 
 
TURNING POINT
	- After regaining the lead in the second half, Delta State would only lose their lead once more after the Warhawks tied it at 43 apiece. After a 16-13 run DSU would hold onto a comfortable lead the remainder of the game.
