CLEVELAND, Miss. - Delta State University Athletics is set to host Meet The Statesmen on Saturday, Aug. 24 at Parker Field-McCool Stadium. The carnival-style event will feature the Statesmen football, Lady Statesmen Soccer, Statesmen Soccer, Lady Statesmen Cross Country and Delta State Cheer programs. Gates open at 8:30 AM with the event slated to begin at 9 AM. The event is free and open to the public. 

"We hope you will make plans to join us for Meet The Statesmen on Saturday, Aug. 24 at Parker Field-McCool Stadium," Mike Kinnison, Director of Athletics, said. "Student-athletes and coaches from our fall sports programs are excited to kickoff the year and we hope you will stop by for a morning of food, fun and fellowship at Meet The Statesmen."

During the event, fans will be able to get autographs and pose for pictures with their favorite fall sports student-athlete or coach while each sport hosts skill drills and games on the field.

Schedule posters and cards will be available for pick-up and light refreshments will be served.

Following Meet The Statesmen, coach Todd Cooley and Delta State football will scrimmage at 11 AM.
